Boogie Woogie classes in Vigo
Boogie Woogie and Rhythm & Blues are later swing dance styles that developed mainly in Europe, influenced by Lindy Hop's appearances on the big screen. They're danced to boogie woogie, rhythm & blues and rock & roll music. Like Lindy Hop, they're full of energy and footwork that gives them a cheerful, playful feel.
Boogie Woogie is a partner dance that grew up mainly in Europe, out of the Lindy Hop and jitterbug that arrived with American films and music. It's danced to boogie woogie, rhythm & blues and rock and roll from the 1940s and 50s, with lots of footwork, turns and a very strong connection with your partner.
It's a great choice if you love 1950s rock and roll or want an energetic dance for any vintage party. It shares its roots, its music and much of its technique with Lindy Hop: lots of people switch from one to the other.
